Holiday in Tuscany: where children have fun!

Holidays are the best time of the year and all of us always look forward to leaving for next destination. Expectations are even stronger when it comes to children. We must think of a nice holiday place for them,  where they don’t get bored, a safe place which can give the parents the opportunity to relax and enjoy their well deserved holiday.

The holiday farm Belmonte is a residence in Tuscany for children and it offers them many opportunities to have fun in holiday.

The “cloud swimming pool”

The first thing that attracts the attention of children newly arrived in Belmonte in Tuscany is the amazing cloud-shaped swimming pool . Indeed they will spend there the most part of the holiday. It’s 340 m2 and it has a beach-type entrance where the water is not deep, specifically designed  for children who can play “on the shore” without any risk. Beside the big pool there is another small swimming pool exclusively for children with a fun water slide. You will find hard to keep them away from the pool!

Belmonte Holiday Farm has just inaugurated its new horse riding centre

A few days ago Belmonte Residence welcomed our new special guests…the horses!

These wonderful animals are all ready to have fun with you riding and doing trekking along the wonderful tracks we have just thought and prepared. Two months ago, on this same blog, I wrote a post about our plans to open a horse riding centre within our estate, because many guests appreciate this kind of activity and many of them expressly asked us to build an equestrian centre for Belmonte’s customers .
Now, after only two months, I’m here to inform you that the farm house Belmonte, working in close collaboration with the Equitrekking Centre, are ready to offer you a great horse riding holiday.

San Miniato 14-15, 21-22, 28-29 November: Internation fetsivall of white truffle
The white truffle or so called Tuber magnatum pico is the most valuable
species of truffle. During these months there are a lot of truffle researchers who look for truffles in the woods of san miniato and montaione. They use special dogs called Lagotti to find truffles. Most of searchers look for truffle during the night so it is likely to meet one of them  in the heart of the night inside a wood!!

We all were there like every year to attend the event. In this post I will share with you my experience Montaione on the truffle festival.

The fair started on Saturday, October the 24th at Villa Serena, with a funny show and a live concert held in the evening inside the theatre of Montaione.

But the real festival day was Sunday the 25th. At 10 am many stands opened their doors, and from that moment we had the opportunity to taste and buy lots of typical Tuscan products such as Extra Virgin olive oil, wine, mushrooms, cheese, chestnuts, different kind of salami and good truffle.
