Who is Hoebelbike

Hoebelbike is a very popular mountain bike team born from three friends lovers of the mountain bike trips. Now they are the most known mountain bike team in Belgium and every time they arrange for a mtb tour  they are able to take with them also 2000 people.

Thanks to their experience and competence in arranging the tours many people now trust them and they enjoy a lot every time during the tour. One of the funniest tour was the night tour of 35 km from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. They have travelled during the night with the lighting of specila torches assembled on the bikes. Hoebelbike in Belmonte

Maurice De Win, one of the founder of Hoebelbike and Mark Hiertz, together with their  families have  come in Belmonte to spend their holiday.Of course they have taken their mountain bikes with them! Since the first days they have started to discover treks and trails around Belmonte and Montaione countryside across its woods and hills.

They have professional mountain bike equipped with double disc brake, rollers ammortized, carbon frame. They have a special navigation system GPS assembled on their bike. They download mtb treks and paths from http://www.visitmontaione.com/en/mountainbike_trekking.htm where there are the maps of the itineraries around Montaione. These treks are very funny since you can ride across woods, fields and unpaved roads inside the typical Tuscany countryside.

They have traveled also around public street that let to reach San Gimignano or Volterra. They just changed the tires and they put on slick ones. Yesterday they told that they made a nice trip riding along public streets over the hills around Montaione. They started from Belmonte, they reached the small village of Villamagna, then they went down to the villages of Fabbrica, Peccioli and then they climbed up to the hills that take to Castelfalfi where there is the nice hamlet of Castelfalfi. After they proceeded to San Vivaldo where there is the holy mount with the monastery and the chapels and at the end they went back in Belmonte. And it is not a short trip!!!Yhey have said that Montaione countryside is a good place for mountain bike tours in Tuscany.

One day they have also gone in San Miniato in Daccordi mountain bikes store, which is a big store that sell bikes of every kind and every accessory that concer with bikes. They went there because they wanted to buy a special pair of mtb shoes.

Now they are going on to discover other paths around Montaione. The territory around Montaione is 10490 hectares and it is all acrossed by country roads that here are called "strade bianche" that can be translated like "white streets". This name want to remember the naturalness of these unpaved stree that develop themselves in the typical Tuscany landscape with its sunflowers field, its hills and its olives trees.
