Holidays,vacations and sightseeing in Tuscany

September is a special month to have holidays in Tuscany. While I am writing from the sun bed of the swimming pool I am enjoying a sunny and fresh weather. The temperature infact in September is crisp and fresher than August. During August infact people in Belmonte who spend their holiday in September in Tuscany use to rest during the hot hours (around twelve o’clock) in the swimming pool. The panoramic location of the swimming pool is good since it use to be always a little bit windy and this is important during summer time when the temperature use to arrive until 36 degrees. Towns on plan like Florence or Lucca are very hot during summer time especially on the plan where there is no wind and the moisture is nasty. An holiday in farm house in countryside is a good solution for living an holiday in Tuscany during summer time.
If you have an holiday in September in Tuscany you can profit of this delightful weather to enjoy trips in the close towns of Belmonte also during the hot hours. From Belmonte you can easily reach the main Tuscany towns like Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Siena and the closest San Gimignano and Volterra. In Belmonte I have some clients that use to go back every year in this month because of the weather they love.
Countryside also start to change and begin to become more green compared to the yellow colors of July and August.

b)    Astiludio 5 and 6 september 2009 in Volterra

Asiludio is one of the most important historical festival in Volterra where the people dressed like in medieval age recall the day of 9 October 1406 when in Volterra came the new that Florence ally of Volterra had conquered Pisa. Then as now thwe most important Tuscany teams of flag weavers will challenge in a magic atmosphere of party.
